There’s some drama in Baton Rouge as LSU Football attempts to save some cash.
Back in early June, the Tigers made the surprising decision to part ways with offensive line coach James Cregg.
The move was surprising for a couple of reasons.
For starters, the timing was odd. Most staff changes take place before spring practice — not a month after spring practice has concluded.
The other reason the move was surprising was because Cregg was the 2019 offensive line coach of the year. It’s not like LSU was firing a coach who had failed miserably at his job.
