After losing three consecutive games by double digits and free-falling out of the College Football Playoff picture, the LSU football team received some unfortunate news regarding its seemingly bright future at the quarterback position.
Four-star recruit Feleipe Franks, the No. 5 pro-style quarterback in the nation according to 247sports, deccommited from the Tigers last Monday. Six days later, Franks gave a verbal pledge to the rival Florida Gators.
The flip sent shockwaves through the LSU football community, which had been counting on the Crawfordville, Fla. native to become the future leader of the offense ever since his commitment to the Tigers more than a year ago.
