Good morning, Tiger Fans,
Things are not good on the baseball front. For the first time in a decade, the LSU baseball team is 1-5 in SEC play after getting swept on the road by No. 9 Tennessee. The Tigers lost twice on Sunday — 9-8 in the resumption of Game 2 and 3-2 in the final game of the series.
In Game 2, which began Friday and resumed yesterday with LSU up by one in the ninth, the Tigers were one pitch away from winning and let it slip away. After issuing a one-out walk in the bottom of the ninth, Ty Floyd induced a groundout for the second out and then had a 0-2 count on the next batter, cleanup hitter Drew Gilbert.
