Good morning, Tiger Fans,
Free passes and cold bats led to a long night for the LSU baseball team, as the Tigers lost to Nicholls 4-2. With the loss, LSU fell to 3-2 on the season, while Nicholls improved to 1-3.
Four Tiger pitchers issued a combined eight walks and hit four batsmen, and that’s hard to overcome when your bats are as cold as LSU’s were last night. After getting a pair of hits from Cade Doughty and Zack Mathis in the first inning without the benefit of a run, the Tigers didn’t get another hit until Mathis led the eighth with a bloop single.
