The biggest surprise of the LSU preseason practices is doing just what Derrius Guice expected of him.
"It's no surprise to me," Guice said Tuesday of true freshman running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
LSU coach Ed Orgeron said after the Saturday scrimmage that the four-star rated Edwards-Helaire has been the "surprise of camp" so far for his game-breaking runs in the first week of practices. Those runs are just what Guice came to expect from when they played at nearby Catholic High School together in Baton Rouge.

"I kind of got here first and stepped up first and he's kind of just following right behind me in the shadow doing the same thing," Guice said.
