The LSU football scrimmage Thursday inside Tiger Stadium consisted mostly of passing plays, and Danny Etling had what coach Ed Orgeron said was "a good day."
The fifth-year senior passer completed 13 of 17 passes for 216 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, according to stats provided by the coach after the scrimmage that was closed to media.
The showing did nothing to keep Etling from losing his spot at the top of the LSU quarterback depth chart, but Orgeron reiterated his staff was not close to naming a starter for the season.
"We're going to sit down at the end of spring," Orgeron said.
