LSU added a cornerback recruit to replace the loss of Major Burns with four-star cornerback Dwight McGlothern out of Klein, Texas. McGlothern announced his decision at the U.S. Army All-American Game today.
McGlothern had a bit of a strange recruitment. The 6-2, 180-pound prospect is a composite four-star recruit, but has seen his rankings tumble since originally positioning himself as one of the top players in this cycle as an underclassmen. He was originally tabbed as a potential five-star prospect early in 2019, but is now listed as the 25th cornerback in the composite, and just a three-star in 247’s own rankings.
