Outlook: He's going to have a lot of players in front of him but LSU needs pass rush DEs in its transition to a 3-4 defense. Starters Lewis Neal and Davon Godchaux are both leaving but Christian LaCouture returns and backup Frank Herron are expected back at spring practice after sitting out the bowl game and Rashard Lawrence had a strong freshman season. Redshirt freshman Glen Logan is also in that mix. Thomas' father, Atlas Herrion, played football at Alabama, and mother, Syreeta, played volleyball at West Alabama.
