College football’s long and chaotic offseason due to the COVID-19 pandemic officially ended on Saturday with Austin Peay and Central Arkansas playing in the FCS opener 2020 season. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on the schedule. Instead of having 80-plus games on the slate, Week 1 features only nine contests. The first full week of games begins on Thursday, Sept. 3, and continues into Labor Day on Monday night with BYU taking on Navy. The Week 1 NCAAF slate features only nine games, including Arkansas State-Memphis and South Alabama-Southern Miss.
