LSU wide receiver Travin Dural didn't play against Texas A&M on Thursday night which opened the door for Russell Gage to make plays.
Even though Gage dropped his first pass, he more than made up for it in the remainder of the game.
On third-and-goal in the fourth quarter, Gage stretched out to make a grab along the side of the end zone and managed to get his toe inbounds and haul in a 9-yard touchdown from Danny Etling.
Gage made his first career reception in the game and also had his first career touchdown. He played defensive back for his first two years at LSU before switching to wide receiver in the spring.
