BATON ROUGE – Wide receiver DJ Chark and linebacker Devin White have both been honored by the Southeastern Conference as the league’s offensive and defensive players of the week, the SEC announced on Monday morning.
Chark shared the SEC Offensive Player of the Week honor with Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson, while White claimed the SEC Defensive Player of the Week award for the second straight week.
Chark, a senior from Alexandria, La., ignited Tiger Stadium with a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown early in fourth quarter that helped spark a dramatic LSU comeback in a 27-23 win over Auburn.
