Burrow, Receivers Make History in the Air in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas – As he strode off the field at Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday night, Joe Brady pulled Ja’Marr Chase close and repeated the week’s mantra one last time.

“Big time players make big time plays in big time games,” LSU’s passing game coordinator and receivers coach told his sophomore wideout, not for the first time this week.

Earlier in the week, it was a challenge to the Tigers’ wideouts, a reminder of the job at hand – Step up this week. Your team needs you.

After the game, however, it was a commendation, a literal pat on the back to a player – a position group – who rose to the occasion.
