Basketball's Hornsby Has Season-Ending Surgery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – LSU men’s basketball coach Johnny Jones announced here on Thursday that senior guard Keith Hornsby had a season-ending medical procedure this week in Baton Rouge.

Hornsby aggravated a previous internal injury that had required surgery in November late in the first half of the Feb. 20 game at Tennessee.

Hornsby played in 20 games with 19 starts this year after returning to the court on Dec. 13 at Houston, averaging 13.1 points per game, 2.0 rebounds per game with 32 rebounds and 25 steals. Hornsby averaged 30.4 minutes per game and made 89-of-182 field goal attempts (48.
