BATON ROUGE – Members of the LSU basketball team and staff made their annual appearance with the kids of “APIL,” the Ascension Parish Inclusive league.
Although weather forced this year’s event indoors, both the youngsters and members of the team enjoyed the opportunity to interact. The LSU members helped coach the players and signed autographs and posed for pictures.
Organized in 2007, APIL is a non-profit organization put together for noncompetitive sports and recreation for children ages 4-13 with and without physical and/or mental disabilities.
This marks the third straight year that LSU Basketball has appeared at an “APIL” event.
