BATON ROUGE – LSU Basketball Coach Will Wade announced Monday that the athletics department has received and approved scholarship players for five-star power forward Trendon Watford of Mountain Brook High School in Birmingham, Alabama.
Watford is 6-9 and 230 pounds and has led Mountain Brook to three straight Class 7A state titles and averaged 23.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.1 steals and 2.5 blocks per game during his senior season.
Watford is ranked No. 15 by Rivals.com, No. 17 on the 247sports.com composite list of the nation’s best players and No. 19 on the ESPN 100 listing for the 2019 recruiting class.
