For the final time in the tumultuous 2020-2021 season the LSU men’s basketball team (14-8, 9-6) will play inside the confines of the PMAC and will do so in desperate need of a win.
Hosting the last place Vanderbilt Commodores (7-13, 3-11) may be exactly what LSU needs to regain its footing in the final week of the regular season.
LSU has lost two straight games, one a truly bad loss at Georgia last Tuesday and then squandered a season-defining win at Arkansas on Saturday. Still, even with those losses LSU is still in line for a top-four seed and a double-bye in next week’s SEC Tournament and is 31st in the latest NET rankings.
