TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – LSU nearly erased an 18-point second half deficit at Alabama, but ultimately came up short, falling 88-82 in the Coleman Coliseum Saturday afternoon.
Skylar Mays hit a three-pointer from the left wing with 1:35 remaining to make it a one-point game, but from there Alabama was able to pull away to a six-point victory over the Tigers.
Mays led LSU with 24 points and nine rebounds. Birmingham native Trendon Watford had 18 points on the game and Javonte Smart added 16 points and four assists.
