BATON ROUGE – The No. 23 LSU basketball team cruised to a 94-63 victory over Southeastern in its season opener Tuesday Night.
Freshman forward Emmitt Williams recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Fellow freshman forward Naz Reid led the Tigers in points with 17. Senior Kavell Bigby-Williams recorded three of the Tiger’s four blocks in his LSU debut. Four players recorded multiple assists as the team finished with 13 dishes to score.
Parker Edwards, who did not play in the first half, led Southeastern with 23 points on the strength six second half three-pointers in his collegiate debut.
