BATON ROUGE, La.—LSU defeated No. 15 Texas A&M 76-71 in the Maravich Center Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Tigers improved to 16-9 and 9-3 in conference. The Aggies fell to 18-7 and 7-5 in conference.
To open the game, the Tigers had the 14-6 lead and opened the game 5-of-9 from the field. Then, Texas A&M went on a 7-0 run to cut the Tigers’ lead to 16-15. At the half, Texas A&M had the 37-33 lead.
The Tigers took control in the second half and took their lead at the 5:23 mark when Victor II made a layup to put LSU up 62-60.
