The defending champs are on life support.
LSU came into Tuscaloosa needing to win this weekend series versus Alabama. They quite literally threw away game one, they bounced back to win game two, and on Sunday in what was arguably the biggest game of the season, the Tigers laid yet another egg in a game three.
LSU lost 4-3 to Alabama. The Tigers were down 4-0 after the first three innings, but managed to show a little bit of life late. LSU scored its first run in the fourth and then pushed across a pair in the eighth to make it a 4-3 game.
