As expected, Derrius Guice goes pro; so, who replaces him?

LSU running back Derrius Guice made it official Wednesday: He is heading to the NFL.

“Having the opportunity to play for this storied university was truly an honor,” Guice said in his video. Guice is a Baton Rouge native.

Guice likely will be the second or third running back selected; Penn State’s Saquon Barkley is considered the top back available. Guice is seen as a first-round lock; how early he comes off the board is the only real question.

He leaves LSU as the No. 5 rusher in school history – apropos, in a way, since he wore jersey No.
