Former LSU football teammates Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase were reunited this past spring.
The Cincinnati Bengals, who selected Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, picked Chase with the No. 5 overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft.
So far, the Burrow/Chase connection appears to be paying off.
Chase had five receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown in a season-opening win against the Minnesota Vikings.
This past week, Chase caught two passes for 54 yards and a touchdown.
Not a bad start for a wide receiver who hadn’t played in a game since the 2019 season.
