It’s been a trying offseason for Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman.
The Astros’ 2017 sign stealing scandal has dominated headlines since first being revealed by The Athletic just after the conclusion of the 2019 World Series (which Houston lost in seven games).
But despite all the adversity that he’s faced this offseason, Bregman is trying to stay focused on the 2020 season.
Specifically, Bregman has only one thing in mind for this upcoming season — winning a World Series title for new Astros manager Dusty Baker.
Baker was hired by Houston in late January to replace previous manager AJ Hinch, who was fired for not stopping the sign stealing scheme in 2017.
