Former LSU offensive lineman Alan Faneca was officially inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Sunday evening.
Faneca and six others made up the Hall of Fame’s 2021 class. He was enshrined alongside Peyton Manning, Drew Pearson, Calvin Johnson, John Lynch, Tom Flores, and Charles Woodson.
Faneca gives LSU six Hall of Famers, joining Kevin Mawae, Johnny Robinson, Steve Van Buren, Jim Taylor and Y.A. Tittle.
Faneca came to LSU in 1994 and started 36 straight games at right guard between 1995 and 1997. Faneca was an All-SEC and All-American in both ‘96 and ‘97 and was a finalist for the Rimington Trophy in 1997.
