LSU got a stellar pitching performance from starter A.J. Labas as the Tigers snapped a four-game losing streak with an 8-0 victory over Lamar on Tuesday night at Alex Box Stadium.
The Tigers were coming off of being swept at South Carolina last weekend and needed a deep outing from Labas to get things going back on the right track and the freshman delivered.
Not only did Labas go deep, but he completed the first nine-inning complete game of the season for the Tigers.
It was the first complete game shutout in a midweek game for the Tigers since Tyler Jones did it on May 17, 2011.
