BATON ROUGE, La. — Impressive.
That’s the best word to describe LSU’s Tiger Stadium upon seeing it from the inside for the first time. I’m thinking to myself this is what it must have been like to see the Titanic or the Death Star in person. The sheer size is awesome.
I’ve been in huge football stadiums before – at Auburn, Florida, Ohio State – and have a hard time putting a finger on why LSU’s seems particularly impressive from field level. Maybe I’d lost my ability to be impressed and found it again.
Tiger Stadium is close, vertical and colorful, and with its upgraded club levels, suites and scoreboards, it seems to combine the best of both college and NFL stadiums.
