The news is in: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has won the spot, coveted and maybe cursed, on the Madden cover. But who would appear on its college counterpart?
Until three years ago, Madden series manufacturer EA Sports also produced a line of college football games, called NCAA Football. And, like the pro football version, it included a player on the cover.
But in the NCAA Football era, EA Sports could only use players who had already finished their college careers on the cover (for example, Florida star Tim Tebow didn’t appear on the cover until NCAA Football 11 — after he already was gone from Florida).
