Another day, another “BOOM!” for LSU baseball. Coach Jay Johnson stayed red-hot on the recruiting trail with the commitment of UC San Diego pitcher Anthony Eyanson from the transfer portal. Eyanson visited LSU last Saturday and wasted little time in making his decision, becoming LSU’s 12th portal pickup of the offseason.
Eyanson, a 6-2, 185-pound right-hander, logged an impressive 3.07 ERA over 82 innings this past season as a sophomore, striking out 85 batters while issuing just 24 walks. His performance earned him a spot on the USA Collegiate National Team this summer, alongside infielder Daniel Dickinson of Utah Valley State, who committed to LSU on Tuesday.
