LSU had to officially make a change this week to its coaching staff as Sean Ochinko was elevated to hitting coach and Micah Gibbs was moved into the position of Director of Player Development.
Ochinko was with the Tigers last season as an undergraduate coach as he fulfilled his degree requirements, a position now held by Leon Landry. Ochinko was looking for a job in professional baseball when the switch had to be made thanks to a knee injury Gibbs suffered that won’t allow him to be on the field this season. Is Mainieri concerned about the switch?
