5 reasons LSU beat Rice for NCAA regional championship

LSU does it again. For the 22nd time in 29 tries, LSU has won an NCAA Regional championship to take another step closer to Omaha by beating Rice, 5-2, Tuesday.

It didn't look good for the first seven innings but a stellar relief performance by Jared Poché and a dramatic home run by surging sophomore Greg Deichmann lifted the Tigers into the Super Regionals against Coastal Carolina beginning Saturday with an 8 p.m. game.
