BATON ROUGE, La. — The spotlight will be especially bright for a few LSU players when the Tigers kick off the first spring game of the Ed Orgeron era Saturday in Baton Rouge.

The skinny: With All-America Ethan Pocic off to the NFL, Will Clapp — a two-year starter at guard — has been deemed the heir apparent at center. But with Clapp missing spring because of a shoulder surgery, that opened the door for Cushenberry to run with the first team, a role he does not seem eager to relinquish.
