LSU added a commitment from three-star defensive end Justin Thomas on Saturday.
Thomas, a class of 2017 prospect from Spanish Fort, Alabama near Mobile, also had offers from Alabama, Arkansas, South Carolina, Tennessee and five others before choosing the Tigers. He was considered an LSU lean.
Thomas, who is 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds, is regarded as a top-20 strong-side defensive end nationally and top-30 prospect in Alabama, according to 247Sports Composite.
LSU now has 20 commitments in its 2017 class, including 13 from out of state and second from Alabama. Neil Farrell, a three-star defensive tackle from nearby by Murphy High School in Mobile, also committed to the Tigers three weeks ago near the end of July.
