Foster Moreau got the good news today that he has been drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the 4th round. He is LSU’s first drafted TE since Keith Zinger, way back in 2008.
The role of a TE in LSU’s offense over the past decade can charitably be described as “limited” but Moreau showed flashes over the last two seasons as LSU slowly modernized, catching over 270 yds in just over 20 receptions a year. Moreau also provided great leadership and will be linked to the great LSU legacy of those chosen to wear the #18 jersey. Moreau was a standout to scouts at the combine and the Senior Bowl, which greatly helped elevate his draft prospects.
