The reigning national and SEC champion LSU gymnastics team poured it on at the end and pulled off the upset over #1 Oklahoma 198.050-197.675. The Tigers had to reset themselves mentally after a major injury to Chase Brock in pre-meet warm-ups, but they showed great tenacity in front of the fourth-largest crowd in school history. With the result, LSU and Oklahoma are tied atop the SEC regular season championship standings at 4-1 with Auburn half a meet behind at 3-1. The SEC does not break regular season ties in gymnastics, so if LSU and Oklahoma win out, they’ll be crowned co-champions.
