Good morning, Tiger Fans,
BOOM! LSU football addressed its biggest remaining need — and arguably the final piece in assembling a championship-caliber defense — by landing former NC State safety Tamarcus Cooley. Simply put, LSU needed a portal safety and Cooley was not only the best available option but also a fantastic player with three years of remaining eligibility. You can’t do any better than that!
Cooley redshirted as a freshman at Maryland before transferring to NC State, where he posted 39 tackles, six pass deflections, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles this past season, working primarily as a nickel.
