Four-star wide receiver Mannie Netherly (Crosby, TX) decommitted from Texas A&M last night following a bit of controversy surrounding the Aggies' wide receiver coach, and LSU has surged into the forefront of his recruitment.

Netherly had made it clear at LSU was his No. 2 choice after he committed to the Aggies, so it's no surprise to see the Tigers in front to land the coveted wideout.
He has visit Baton Rouge several times throughout his recruitment, and many feel it's only a matter of time until he commits to LSU. They are, however, trying to fight off interest from Texas and Alabama.
The 6'2", 183-pounder is ranked as the No. 27 wide receiver and No. 209 overall player in the country.
