LSU’s legendary, record-setting offense has caught the attention of 5-star recruits around the country. Troy Franklin is the latest blue chip prospect to list the Tigers as a finalist. The 2021 5-Star WR out of Menlo Park, California listed LSU Football in his top six schools. Franklin joins fellow 2021 5-star prospects Caleb Williams, Tommy Brockermeyer and Amarius Mims as recruits who covet wearing the purple and gold. The defensive side of the ball is also attracting 5-star intrigue, as the 2021 No. 1 OLB Terrence Lewis listed LSU as a finalist. The Tigers already have a commit from 5-star OLB Raejson Davis and have the inside track on elite defensive tackle Maason Smith.
Ed Orgeron also was pleased to see 4-star defensive end Elijah Jeudy list LSU in his top schools. The Tigers are also in the running for pass rushers Bryce Langston, Landon Jackson and Monkell Goodwine. “DBU” could also get stronger with the additions of Sage Ryan, JD Coffey, Ishmael Ibraheem and AJ Green.

The SEC’s No. 1 class for 2022 belongs to LSU. Ed Orgeron’s future Tigers got even stronger with the addition of the No. 2 safety Bryan Allen Jr. The Bayou Bengals are the only school in the SEC with more than one commit. Allen Jr. joins fellow LSU commits Bryce Anderson, Decoldest Crawford and Khamauri Rogers.
