The LSU Tigers started the season hot, winning seven straight games. However, the wheels have totally fallen off since then. Teams have figured out a way to stop RB Leonard Fournette and the Tigers' defense has struggled in three consecutive losses. That's led to speculation that head coach Les Miles is on the hot seat. After a disappointing 38-17 loss to Ole Miss, that speculation will only grow. With that in mind, here are three reasons why LSU and Les Miles need to part ways.
3. Failure To Develop A QB
LSU's biggest problem in recent seasons has been its failure to find and develop a QB. The team has been plagued by poor QB play, and that's allowed defense to sell out and stop the run. The Tigers banked on Brandon Harris developing this season, but that's hasn't happened. Harris hasn't been good enough for LSU to beat Alabama, Arkansas or Ole Miss. The repeated failure of the team's quarterbacks falls on Miles' shoulders.
2. Bad Finish To Season
After starting the year 7-0, LSU is in danger of finishing the season in the worst way possible. Losing to Alabama is one thing, but the Tigers followed that up by getting beat by Arkansas by a wider margin and doing the same against Ole Miss. It's an unacceptable finish. The way the Tigers lost makes things even worse. It's not the first time LSU has fallen apart in November. Last year, the Tigers lost two of their last three regular season games. It's a worrisome trend for the Tigers, where winning is expected.

1. Miles Can Have Success Elsewhere
No one in the right state of mind believes Miles is a bad coach. But it's starting to seem like Miles has outstayed his welcome with LSU. Perhaps the best things for all parties is for LSU and Miles to go their separate ways. Miles can find another job somewhere else, since he'll surely be in demand. LSU can hire a new coach, since that's what it apparently wants to do. To be honest, Miles deserves better than the treatment he's getting from LSU. He's done a lot for the program and shouldn't be on the hot seat. Perhaps Miles can find that respect at a different school.
