The defensive ace known as the Honey Badger, Tyrann Mathieu, will be leaving the LSU Tigers after being removed from the football team for violating team policy.
The 2011 Heisman finalist was suspended for one game last year after testing positive for marijuana. Sources close to the situation have reported that Mathieu failed multiple drug tests this off season and will look into playing immediately at an FCS school.
Obviously this is a huge problem for Les Miles' LSU defense. The Tigers will be extremely thin at the cornerback position. With their star gone, the Tigers only return 1 CB that is not a freshman. LSU was recently ranked #1 in the initial 2012 AP Poll.
