The LSU Tigers are in solid position to make a run at the College Football Playoff this year, but there's a still a few questions to be answered before the team starts its journey this upcoming season. Here's 3 Burning Questions For LSU Football In 2015.
1. Who's Ready To Supplement Leonard Fournette's Playmaking?
The ground game is set to revolve around the dynamic Fournette this year, but there's still a lack of clarity about who's going to join him as the team's go-to skill-position weapons. Keep an on explosive sophomore receiver Malachi Dupre as a candidate to take the tops of off team's defenses weekly. He could be very well be a household name by the time bowl season rolls around.
2. Who's Going To Be Starting Under Center?
By all accounts, Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris are neck-and-neck right now in the race to take over the reins at quarterback. Both Jennings and Harris acquitted themselves well in the spring game, with Harris' showcase of escapability perhaps giving him a minute edge. There's also the looming specter of Everett Golson, who's been linked to LSU in transfer rumors despite a tricky SEC rule that could serve to kill his on-field eligibility.
Stay tuned.
3. Is LSU One Of The Favorites In A Wide-Open SEC West?
The division is as up for grabs as it has been in years, with usual suspects Alabama and Auburn facing their own host of questions heading into the 2015 campaign. There is no clear favorite to speak of right now from a talent perspective, which means there's ample opportunity for an LSU squad full of blue-chippers to represent the West in the SEC title game.
