The Loyola women’s volleyball team (3-2) defeated Georgia State University 3-0 for its second sweep of the day Friday night.
“Each match, we’ve kind of started off just a little bit slow, but we’ve found our rhythm as the match kept going,” head coach Amanda Berkley said after the match. “The first set wasn’t the prettiest, but we fought to get that win. Then in the second and third sets, we picked up our serving and … got some more aces there, and I think that helped us.”
The match went back-and-forth from the beginning. After Georgia State tied the first set 20-20, Loyola came out on top 25-23.
