The Loyola women’s volleyball team (12-9, 4-5) defeated Indiana State University 3-1 at Gentile Arena Friday night to snap its five-match losing streak.
“I think that was a match we were kind of looking for in terms of the three sets that we won where we played well,” head coach Amanda Berkley said after the match. “I thought our passing was much improved that match, and when we pass, we can do some really good things.”
The Ramblers won the first two sets 25-17 and 25-16, respectively, after leading throughout both sets. In the third set, Loyola and Indiana State were neck-and-neck until the Sycamores came out on top 25-18.
