Women’s Soccer Rolls Past Purdue Fort Wayne 4-0

The Loyola women’s soccer team (3-2-0) defeated Purdue Fort Wayne 4-0 Friday night at Loyola Soccer Park.

After a slow start to the first half, junior midfielder Aleksa Tataryn kicked off the scoring with her first goal of the season in the 26th minute with an assist from sophomore defender Jenna Ross to put Loyola ahead 1-0.

The Ramblers kept up the pressure and had many shots on goal but it wasn’t until the 42nd minute that they scored again. First-year midfielder Abby Swanson got her second goal of the season with an assist from Ross and send Loyola into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
