Eight first-years and a graduate transfer joined the women’s soccer team this season, and with only a handful of games under their belts, they still have much to learn about playing with the Ramblers.
Seven players graduated from the women’s soccer program last year, including the 2018 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Player of the Year, Jenna Szczesny, and a MVC Scholar-Athlete Team honoree, Madison Kimball, leaving the Ramblers without some of their top players from last season.
Head coach Barry Bimbi said recruiting is done a few years in advance, so he needed to project which starters would be graduating and would need to be replaced.
