The Loyola women’s soccer team (1-3-1) kept up with no. 16 University of Wisconsin-Madison in a nail-biter 1-1 finish Thursday night. The game went to double overtime, but neither team was able to capitalize on the golden goal stretch giving Ramblers the first tie of the season.
Head coach Barry Bimbi said he was impressed by the team’s resilience against the Big Ten team. He said they had been down on themselves following the Kansas University game and this gave a much needed boost of confidence.
“Today we just asked, be yourself, be your best and see what happens,” Bimbi said.
