The Loyola women’s soccer team (1-2-0) took down University of South Dakota 2-1 at Loyola Soccer Park in its home opener Friday night. Senior midfielder Aleksa Tataryn found the back of the net in the 70th minute to win the game.
Head coach Barry Bimbi said the Ramblers made it hard on themselves in the first half before they were able to take control of the game in the second half. He said the big takeaway from this game for the players is they know they can adjust in those difficult situations.
“[South Dakota’s] strength was they compact the space,” Bimbi said.
