Women’s Soccer Defense Improves Following Rough Start

After early season struggles, the Loyola women’s soccer team (5-4-1) has won four of its last five games. In that five-game span, the Ramblers have only allowed four total goals.

Fresh off an NCAA Tournament appearance last season, the Ramblers started this season with a pair of losses against the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Kansas. The Ramblers lost 3-1 against Illinois and suffered a 6-0 loss to the Jayhawks. Last season, Loyola never allowed more than three goals in a game.

Since the first two games, the Ramblers have only allowed an average of one goal per game.
