The awards continue to roll in for former Loyola guard Marques Townes.
Townes was named Associated Press (AP) Men’s Basketball Honorable Mention All-America Tuesday afternoon. He was one of 38 college basketball players to be named honorable mention after the AP also announced the first, second and third team honors.
The honor comes after a historic final season for the Edison, New Jersey native, who secured both the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Player of the Year award and All-MVC First Team honors. He’s the second straight Rambler to be named honorable mention All-America after Clayton Custer received the honor last year.
