Even though the Loyola men’s basketball team won’t be repeating its March Madness run this season, its biggest fan is far from disappointed. Sister Jean, the 99-year-old team chaplain, still speaks of the team with a smile on her face and confidence in her voice.
Sister Jean has been the chaplain of the basketball team since 1994, giving her 24 years of experience watching the Ramblers from a close perspective. The 2017-18 season ended with the best result the Ramblers have had since she’s been chaplain and was the only year she’s been able to pray with the team during the NCAA Tournament.
