CHICAGO -- Christen Inman scored 25 points, including six in a 10-0 surge in the fourth quarter, to lift No. 12 Northwestern to an 81-72 win over Loyola of Chicago on Sunday.
The Ramblers (2-6) gave the Wildcats (9-0) a battle, leading 34-30 at the half in a game that had nine ties and 11 lead changes.
Dakota Vann tied the game at 59 with 7:43 left but Inman answered with a 3-pointer. Loyola missed its next three shots and Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah made a pair of free throws, Inman drilled a 3 and Jordan Hankins hit a jumper for a 69-59 lead with 5:43 left.
